UNSW Bachelor of Science (Honours) enables high-performing students to connect undergraduate study with a supervised independent research project.
Taken over one year of full-time study, the honours degree deepens your knowledge in a specialised area, with choices including biotechnology, ecology, marine science, statistics, and more.
In addition to conducting research and coursework, students are expected to undertake Occupational Health & Safety (OH&S) training, attend and present seminars, write a literature review, and write a thesis.
The degree also provides an academic foundation for students to pursue further study with a Masters by research or a PhD.
