UNSW Bachelor of Aviation (Flying) educates and train pilots to the highest commercial standards. In this degree, you’ll learn the core science behind aviation and gain your flying licence – ready to take on global opportunities within the Aviation sector.
The three-year full-time degree prepares students for a career in the flying or managerial sectors of the aviation industry. This includes working as a single pilot, flight instructor or as part of a multi-crew team in an airline.
Realise Your Dream of Being a Pilot
Studying with UNSW Aviation, you’ll learn the science of aviation as well as gaining your flying licence. In addition to theoretical studies, you will have up to 200 hours of flight training and approximately 30 hours of simulator training from our Flying Operations Unit at Bankstown Airport.
You will enrol in the Professional Pilot Program, which covers flight training and tests to a minimum of Commercial Pilot Licence (CPL), Instrument Rating - Multi-Engine Aeroplane and Air Transport Pilot Licence (ATPL) theory.
Additionally, UNSW Bachelor of Aviation (Flying) provides academic courses in aviation management to prepare you for the operational aspects of the industry.
