The Graduate Diploma in Advanced Flying is designed for graduates who want a career as an airline pilot. This program is only available to Australian citizens and permanent residents and New Zealand citizens.
This Diploma provides the ground and simulator training which is required by airlines prior to type endorsement.
The core training includes multi-crew coordination and aeroplane systems skills required for a pilot to operate an airline category aeroplane.
A Range of Aviation Courses
Students also complete four related aviation postgraduate theory courses, selecting from subject areas including:
- Safety Management Systems
- Aviation Human Factors
- Accident Investigation Techniques
- Airworthiness for Transport Category Aircraft
- Flight Deck Operations.
Flexible Study Options
The Graduate Diploma in Advanced Flying takes the equivalent of one-year of full-time study, and may be undertaken on a part-time basis.
The core courses require full-time attendance for six weeks each at the Flying Operations Unit, Bankstown Airport.
