Science Goldstar Awards

Science Goldstars are awarded annually to eligible UNSW research teams that achieve near misses (i.e. in top 15% of unsuccessful applications) in the ARC Discovery Projects and NHMRC Project Grant funding rounds. Goldstar funds are to enable strong researchers to proceed with initial research on the proposed research program, and to allow your team's investigator(s) to

further refine and improve their application for resubmission.

Goldstar Awards are awarded at the end of each calendar year to full-time employees of UNSW.  A condition of acceptance of this award is that the recipient will submit an ARC or NHMRC application in a funding round during 2018.

There is no application process. Successful recipients are selected based on the assessment and ranking information provided to UNSW by the funding agencies.
