Honours is a one year program usually undertaken after a three year undergraduate degree. In some Schools where degrees lead to professional accreditation, Honours is embedded within the undergraduate program and is mandatory. An Honours program provides students an opportunity to conduct original research under the supervision of an academic staff member. Students learn new research techniques as well as skills such as time management and problem solving, and receive the foundation to proceed to a higher degree of research
