Transit of Venus - Open Day at UNSW

It won't be for another 105 years that Venus will pass in front of the Sun and Sydney has a prime viewing position to witness the Transit of Venus tomorrow (Wednesday).

UNSW Astronomy Outreach is hosting an Open Day.

The Transit of Venus has first contact at 8:16am and last contact at 2:44pm. Telescopes will be on the Physics Lawn to view the Sun from 9am to 3pm.

There will also be a number of talks on solar and exoplanetary science.
