2009 Faculty of Science Staff Excellence Awards

Recipients of the 2009 Faculty of Science Staff Excellence Awards have been recognised for excelling in their respective fields this year.

Candidates for the awards are nominated by their colleagues. The submissions are considered by a committee comprising the Dean, the Senior Associate Dean, the Associate Dean (Research), the Associate Dean (Education), the Faculty General Manager and the Faculty HR Consultant.

This year's prize-winners were chosen from a very strong field:

Rick Richardson from the School of Psychology. Rick was awarded the prize for Teaching and Research, in recognition and celebration of outstanding contribution to teaching and research.

Tom Denson from the School of Psychology. Tom was awarded the prize for Research, in recognition and celebration of excellence in research.

Louise Lutze-Mann from the School of Biotechnology and Biomolecular Sciences. Louise was awarded a prize for Teaching, in recognition and celebration of excellence in teaching.

Si Ming Man from the School of Biotechnology and Biomolecular Sciences. Si Ming was awarded a prize for teaching, in recognition and celebration of excellence in sessional teaching.

Trichelle Massy-Greene from the Science Student Centre. Trichelle was awarded the prize for Professional staff, in recognition and celebration of outstanding contribution to student services.

George Yang from the School of Materials Science and Engineering. George was awarded the prize for Technical staff, in recognition and celebration of excellence in teaching and research support.

On behalf of the Faculty of Science, Professor Dawes congratulated the winners for their fine achievements.
