Our flagship three-year degree with 24 majors and plenty of room to try out different areas of science.

The Bachelor of Science allows you to study a wide range of science subjects as well as many other areas of interest. This degree is ideal if you know you love science, but you aren't sure what field you would like to specialise in.

You are encouraged to choose a broad range of courses in your first year, to expand your general understanding of science and enable you to choose from wide selection of major options in your second and third year. This gives you time to become more familiar with the different areas of science and to discuss possible majors with staff and other students along the way.

However, if you already know what you want to specialise in, the Bachelor of Science program can also be tailored for you right from the start.

Honours: Students who perform well may have the opportunity to study for an honours degree by taking an extra year to apply their knowledge to a research project, supervised by a UNSW researcher.

Dual Degrees: This degree is designed to be flexible enough to combine with a second degree from the Faculties of Arts, Engineering, Law and the UNSW Business School in a dual degree.

Degree Transfer: Based on academic merit, students may also change their degree by utilising the Internal Program Transfer (IPT). Students can change between Science degrees or switch to another degree at UNSW, including advanced level and professional degrees.
