Chemistry - Masters Degree (Research)
MAP
A fantastic start into academic research or advanced laboratory work.
Much like the Doctorate program, you will work under the guidance of experienced academic staff on a research project and produce unique knowledge to benefit the scientific community.
Candidates choose a specialised area of research and produce a unique research thesis on their findings. Depending on your field of study, your workload will include a range of practical and theoretical research, as well as contributing towards academic publications and presenting your findings at seminars and conferences.
This program offers skills that are critical for research and industrial professions and readily transferable to non research-based careers. Graduates are highly desirable for their problem solving, technical writing and presentation skills, and analytical approach towards their work. The program also serves as an excellent pathway to higher education options, such as a research Doctorate.
Assumed & recommended knowledge: Candidates will need to have an Honours in Chemistry (or equivalent), as well as a solid foundation in undergraduate sciences related to their research project.
