The Nanodevices major is a specialty major only available to students undertaking our Bachelor of Nanotechnology.
The Nanodevices major is a broad, interdisciplinary major spanning molecular biology, analytical chemistry, organic and inorganic chemistry, materials science, physics and quantum physics.
Elective options are vast, ranging from photonics to laser spectroscopy, quantum mechanics to biophysics.
The Nanotechnology degree, and Nanodevices major, includes a research project undertaken in Stage 4 of the degree. A range of interdisciplinary projects are offered by contributing schools - in subjects spanning Chemistry, Physics, Material Science and Biochemistry - enabling students to carry out experimental investigations in their chosen area of nanotechnology.
