Commercial Biotechnology - Graduate Certificate (online)

Biotechnology is a fast-growing industry in Australia and South-East Asia. UNSW Sydney’s Graduate Certificate in Commercial Biotechnology is delivered by the School of Biotechnology and Biomolecular Sciences and has been developed with extensive industry consultation. The Graduate Certificate’s focus on the business side of biotechnology makes it a unique offer in Australasia.


Course content

Content focuses on the key issues that must be effectively addressed for the successful commercialisation of biotechnology-based products including: intellectual property management; business models and strategy; financial management; international regulatory environments; and strategic communication and negotiation.

  • Biotechnology Commercialisation Strategy in Australia and Asia
  • Foundations in Biotechnology Finance
  • Negotiating Biotechnology in Asian Markets


Admission

A Bachelor's degree in a bioscience related field

  Delivery Mode: 100% online with small class sizes (capped under 20) allowing a high standard of academic rigour and a collaborative learning environment for students and teachers. The courses are taught by industry experts and UNSW’s outstanding STEM educators. .

  Duration:  2-years part time

  Program start: Term 1 February 2020
