Tony Davis was appointed as Chief Executive Officer at the beginning of 2008 with responsibility for the company's business affairs - Civil Aerospace, Defence Aerospace, Marine and Energy - in the Australasian region. Prior to joining Rolls-Royce, Tony was the Deputy Managing Director for Saab Systems Pty. Ltd. based in Adelaide and the Director of Operations for Saab Systems' global Naval Systems business out of Stockholm, Sweden.
Preceding his move to business in 1997, Tony had an extensive career as a Combat and Weapon Systems Engineering Officer in the Royal Australian Navy, highlights included United Nations operational service in the Middle East and as the Combat System Manager responsible for the design, development, delivery and test of the Australian and New Zealand Navys' ANZAC Ship Frigates and supporting infrastructure.
Tony is a graduate of the University of NSW (BEE), the United States Navy Postgraduate School, Monterey (MSc., Comp. Sci.) and the Australian Institute of Company Directors (GAICD) and also serves as a member of the UNSW Aviation Industry Advisory Committee.
