Science Advisory Council - Mr Don Burke
Don Burke has had an on-going involvement in environmental issues. He was a foundation board member of Year of the Tree, Decade of the Tree, Greening Australia, Sustainable Development Australia & Landcare. He also initiated the formation of the National Registration Authority for Agricultural & Veterinary Chemicals (now APVMA).
He has had a media involvement via television, radio, book publishing and magazines since 1980 all of which are on-going. These have lead to numerous media & environmental awards.
He is currently presenting Burke's Backyard on radio to 32 stations around Australia; editor in chief of Burke's Backyard Magazine; environmental consultant to Gunns Australia & Patron of Retina Australia.
