Science Advisory Council - Mr Andrew Randall

Andrew Randall is the founder and Managing Director of Jackgreen Ltd and was instrumental in listing the company on the Australian Stock Exchange. He has led the business since April 2004 during which time he formed the company's guiding strategy, Board of Directors and management team.

In less than three years Andrew grew a unique business that possesses a solid customer base of over 50,000. Launching the company in New South Wales, Jackgreen has since expanded across the eastern seaboard to Victoria, Queensland, the ACT and South Australia. Andrew's foresight has allowed him to build a business that remains distinctive in the Australian market - Jackgreen is the only retailer that has a GreenPower accreditation on every product it sells.

Previously, Andrew was a Vice President of Citibank Australia Ltd between 1985 and 1990, where he established a number of operating units within the bank's structured finance division. He is also the founding shareholder and Managing Director of Obelisk Capital Pty Ltd, a corporate advisory and investment company. Andrew has specific expertise in determining growth strategies for emerging businesses in Australia and implementing those strategies. His business expertise has been used for many successful corporate advisory engagements in the energy industry.

Andrew is an advocate of social change and sees great opportunity for individuals and businesses to make environmentally beneficial decisions. As Managing Director of Jackgreen, and its recently acquired energy efficiency arm Easy Being Green, Andrew promotes sustainable business practices by providing consumers with simple and cost effective environmental solutions. By understanding the financial challenges consumers face, Andrew has developed a business model with products that not only provide a complete sustainable lifestyle solution, but also take the financial concerns out of that decision making.

Jackgreen and Easy Being Green both share a common philosophy - "Incremental change by many can make a significant difference". This mirrors Andrew's personal philosophy where he has made simple green choices to reduce his carbon footprint to virtually zero. Andrew also offers community groups with information on sustainable living.

Andrew holds a Bachelor of Economics from Monash University and is a qualified CPA and graduate of the Securities Institute of Australia. Andrew sits on the board of a number of both private and publicly listed companies.
