The Postgraduate Research Competition recognises outstanding research by postgraduate research students in Science.

This year’s competition will be a major component of the Student Research Expo, taking place on Thursday 22 August in Leighton Hall of the John Niland Scientia Building.

Prizes

A total of six prizes will be awarded:

3 x $5,000 prizes, for the best three overall entrants.

3 x $3,000 prizes, for the next best placed three entrants. 

Prize monies will be awarded to students to support their travel expenses to international conferences or research visits.

Winners of this Postgraduate Research Competition will then represent the Faculty at the UNSW Three Minute Thesis Competition - to be hosted by the Graduate Research School on Thursday 5 September 2013.
