You will make a significant contribution to the knowledge in your chosen Chemistry discipline, and work together with experienced academic staff who are internationally recognised in their field.

Candidates choose a specialised area of research and produce a unique research thesis on their findings. Depending on your field of study, your workload will include a range of practical and theoretical research, as well as contributing towards academic publications and presenting your findings at seminars and conferences.

Studying a PhD through the School of Chemistry will equip you with a wide range of skills for work in industry, academia and even non research-based careers.
