Our Campus and Facilities

Established in 1949, UNSW has grown to over 50,000 students, with 5000 staff and an impressive reputation both nationally and internationally. We not only offer a huge range of subjects in science (and numerous other fields), but because of our focus on science and technology, we understand the importance of providing the most modern facilities and equipment. But it’s not all hard work and no play, our campus has everything you need to stay happy and healthy during your time at UNSW.

It’s true, we ‘Never Stand Still’

One thing is guaranteed at UNSW – there will always be a crane on campus. Science is leading the way with a new Materials Science and Engineering building in under construction and plans for a new home for Biological Sciences. Plus, Kensington College accommodation has just been expanded, bringing the total number of beds on campus to around 2000.

A Real Community

When you step through the UNSW gates, you will get a feel for the vibrant community spirit alive on campus. Students always bump into people they know, there is always some kind of interesting activity going on, and there is almost always free food somewhere - you just have to know where to look!
