Dress for Success Clothing Drive

Celebrate International Women’s Day by making a difference to women in need

7 – 11 March across UNSW

International Women’s Day is about celebrating and supporting the achievements of women around the world. To mark International Women’s Day this year UNSW is undertaking a clothing drive to support Dress for Success.

The mission of Dress for Success is to empower women to achieve economic independence. Dress for Success is a registered charity that improves the employability of women in need by providing them with professional clothing suitable for interviews and to wear to work.

Across the University from Monday 7 March to Friday 11 March, there will be designated drop-off points where you can leave items of work-appropriate clothing and accessories you no longer need and would like to donate.

What to donate?

  • Interview appropriate suits
  • Interview appropriate blouses
  • Professional separates including blouses, slacks, skirts, dresses, blazers and jackets
  • Work appropriate shoes
  • Jewelry and scarves
  • Handbags (briefcases, portfolios or work appropriate handbag)

You can find a list of appropriate donations here.
