What is a Secondary Transcript (AHEGS)?
This is a transcript that is provided in addition to your academic transcript that contains information relating to any special achievements or awards you have received or approved volunteer programs or activities.
The approved activities that can be listed on your secondary transcript provide an opportunity for you to improve your career prospects and employability by enhancing your degree, allowing you to contribute to the community, increasing your skills and broadening your experience. There are many approved activities that can be listed on your secondary transcript within the Faculty and across the University such as:
Advance Science camp leader (Advance Science students only)
Student Clubs and Society managing positions
Faculty and School Peer Mentors
Peer Tutors
Science Student Ambassadors
UNSW Sunswift Solar Racing Team
ASPIRE Ambassadors
Student Representatives on Faculty Education Committees and Faculty Standing Committees, School Committees and Faculty Curriculum Committees
Student Volunteer Programs
From 2010, Secondary Transcript information will be incorporated into the Australian Higher Education Graduation Statement (AHEGS). All UNSW students completing program requirements will receive an Australian Higher Education Graduation Statement on graduation that will also include information on your award and the University. The UNSW Advantage program currently includes over 500 activities, such as voluntary work, internships and mentoring.
